Why walk for almost two hours round trip when you can take a fast and convenient shuttle to the Sólheimasandur plane wreck? This time saving option takes 10 -15 minutes one way and guarantees you a ride back at your allotted time. After you have explored the famous DC plane wreck and the nearby black sand beach (about 500 m one way), you can relax in the shuttle as we transport you back to your vehicle.

The shuttle runs frequently from the Sólheimasandur parking lot from 10:00 from the Sólheimasandur parking area, and the shuttle is available 7 days a week. The last departure is at 17:00 (dependent on daylight hours)

The parking area is located 6 km east of Skógar (3km east of Sólheimajökull) and 27 km west of Vík, by Ring Road nr one. Find the location on Google Maps
